Yoga & Meditation Retreat @ Mandala Yoga Ashram – 11th – 15th April 2024

Mandala Yoga Ashram

Having recently returned from a beautiful retreat with a very special group of people at Mandala Yoga Ashram (https://www.mandalayogaashram.com), I’m delighted to say that a similar retreat will be running next year

11th - 15th April 2024

I will be updating this information with the specific theme of the retreat, but for now the information is generic. For those of you who like to plan your diaries in advance, here’s a booking link. Please note that I am not accepting payments for this retreat on my website. All administration regarding payments, booking enquiries, accommodation, diet etc, travel options, is dealt with directly by Mandala Ashram.

What to Expect

Mandala Yoga Ashram is a place very close to my heart. I always love sharing my yoga teaching with you, and being able to do this in one of the places that has most influenced me over the last decade or more, is a huge delight and privilege.

When I set out as a yoga teacher and was trying to work out what/how to teach, I found the range of approaches to yoga quite baffling and overwhelming. A friend and colleague at the time, recommended that if I wanted to go back to 'source' - in other words, to touch into the spaciousness, silence and peace of Yoga in the ancient sense of the term (Yuj - a connection between an individual sense of self with the infinite spaciousness of a universal consciousness), then I should try out Mandala Ashram. And I have never looked back.

Accommodation is simple (mainly in dormitories of 6 beds but there are a few single or double rooms available upon request). Food is vegan/vegetarian. We get up early for Mantra, Asana and Meditation practices (Asana taught by me). And then we spend the morning involved in Karma Yoga which means helping run the ashram with gardening, cooking, cleaning activities. We then share lunch and you have the afternoon free to walk in the beautiful Welsh hill-land around the Ashram (or to sleep!) before we meet again in the later afternoon for more practice together, led by one of the Ashram teachers so you can experience different kinds of teaching.
