BWY Foundation Course 1
I am delighted to be teaching a British Wheel of Yoga Foundation Course (1) again this year. The challenge is to teach a hybrid course – some people at Clarence House in Penzance and others all around the UK via Zoom. This course ends in December 2023.
The next Foundation Course will run from February 2024.
To register your interest, please email me on hello@spaceofbeing.co.uk. I will be advertising this course in September 2023 and will then be able to provide full details on the next course. I will also be offering a Free Taster Workshop to introduce the course on a date to be confirmed in December 2023.
Information about the course
Do you love your regular Yoga class and want to go a bit deeper into your understanding and personal practice of Yoga? If so, this immersive, 60-hour Foundation Course could be ideal for you. The Course provides a thorough grounding in physical postures (asana), breath work (pranayama), mudra (seals), mantra (sound), meditation and relaxation, all within the fascinating history and philosophy of the Yogic Tradition.
The course is structured to allow lots of time to share personal experiences within the group and to discuss and question the different approaches to Yoga that will arise on the course. It is a great interactive experience as well as being an opportunity for personal development.
Some people choose to take the Foundation Course to delve deeper into a topic they love and to enrich their own personal practice. The Course can also be – but doesn’t have to be - a perfect stepping-stone towards becoming a Certified Yoga Teacher e.g. (by taking the British Wheel of Yoga Diploma in Teaching).
The Foundation Course will run for 10 months (with no meeting in August). Each meeting will be on a Sunday from 9.30am-5pm and will include lunch and tea breaks.
Cost: Course fees for 2024 will be £760 including registration with the BWY. There is a non-refundable deposit of £160 payable on acceptance to the course. You then have the option of paying the remaining £600 as a lump sum or by monthly instalments of £60. All attendees also need to become members of the BWY (cost £43)
