Thank you to the graduating group of FC1 2022 - it was such a pleasure to spend 10 months with you exploring Yoga in its fullest sense
During 2023, I’ve taught a British Wheel of Yoga Foundation Course (1) as a hybrid course (in person + via Zoom) and the course ends in December. This has been a lovely group - meeting both in Penzance and via Zoom from all over the UK.
***NEW FOUNDATION COURSE to run from: 4th February 2024 to 14th July 2024 - via Zoom or at my garden studio - 38 Boscaswell Village, Pendeen, TR19 7EP

Information about the course
Do you feel your relationship to Yoga changing since you started going to regular classes? Are you finding you want to practice more often, maybe even at home as well as in a public class? If so, maybe you’ve caught the Yoga bug and it’s time to delve deeper into all that these ancient practices have to offer. I personally feel increasingly, that right now, living in the world as we do, we need Yoga’s wisdom more than ever.
This 60-hour Foundation Course provides a solid grounding in physical postures (asana), breath work (pranayama) mudra (seals), mantra (sound), meditation and relaxation, all within the fascinating history and philosophy of the Yogic Tradition. Importantly, the learning process is immersive, supportive and interactive, with ample time for chatting and sharing reflections. The teaching format combines 6 Full Days, each with a mini-retreat feel and a deep dive into practice and discussion, with 6 Evening Classes to ensure an opportunity for check-in, recap and exploring new content. All of this will take place within a warm and nurturing community of like-minded Yogi(ni)s.
The overall effect, I believe, will be a rich and fulfilling 6 months of practicing together in the midst of busy lives, in a way that you’ll feel accompanied and nourished as well as with time to discover your own way to develop your passion for Yoga.
You have the choice of attending all sessions via Zoom or in-person (full days in Penzance and Wednesday Evenings in Pendeen, West Cornwall) or as a combination. All sessions will be recorded and the recordings made available to participants without a time limit.
You don’t need to want to teach Yoga to want it to be a bigger part of your life. The Foundation Course, for many, turns out to be a wonderful opportunity for personal development. On the other hand, you may feel you’d like to teach Yoga and if this is the case, this Foundation is an invaluable stepping stone towards a full teacher training course. For many people, the Foundation Course helps to clarify whether Yoga teaching is something to continue with or not.
